@jax to me love is essential. all forms of it,including stuff like parental love.but i suppose it could be argued that affectionate love (i.e. dating someone) could be considered potentially unnecessary if you can sustain yourself well enough to go without it,but stuff like the love of your family especially as you grow up is extremely important especially if you dont want 2 become liek me. i suppose many relationships could be unnecessary but thats a sort of independence i have not rlly considered before !

@jax "as long as you love yourself, you don't need the love of another" Not Inherently True (to an extent). we are an innately social species, if you dont have interactions with people or feel some sense of belonging then over time you will go mental. im not saying love and belonging are entirely 100% congruous but saying you dont need love is like saying you dont need um. to check your pikidiary feed every day. like SURE maybe but it objectively improves ur life if youre modest about it[/hopeless romantic]
